Carrot flower and spider

Carrots have very pretty umbellate flowers if you don’t pull them up and eat their roots before they bloom. I’m not sure what type of spider this is, but for a few weeks she or he was living in front of the place on my veranda where I like to sit and paint. Lovely markings! Pencil, ink and watercolours on paper.

Orange Nasturtium.

A small watercolour painting of one of the many nasturtium blooms in my garden during summer, Jan 2013.

Autumn Blaze Maple

Watercolours and pen & ink on paper, 2009. A little painting of one of the beautiful Lipstick maples in my garden. It’s usually the first to turn red in autumn.
